・Wewill give dreams and romance to the youth who will lead the future through the discovery of truth and the elucidation of natural phenomena, and we will promote basic science that will have a great ripple effect on social life and industrial technology through technological innovation.

・Particlephysics provides a never ending challenge for humankind when delving into the mystery of the natural world, such as the structure of physical matter and birth of the universe. Due to the results from the synergy of theory and accelerator experiments, there have been dramatic improvements in this field of research.

・The ILC is a cutting-edgeexperimental facility for particle physics that uses a 20km long linear accelerator to reproduce the reactions that occurred shortly after the so-called Big Bang, which marked the beginning of the universe.

・On August 23, 2013, the ILC SiteEvaluation Committee, composed of researchers, announced its conclusion that “the Kitakami site is the most suitable domestic candidate site for the ILC,” from both technical and social environmental perspectives.

 ・Thisconference, consisting of industry, academic, and Local government representatives, has been established to promote basic scientific research and to deepen the understanding of the International Linear Collider.
